Baharestan Mine
Baharestan kaolin mine is located in Halakabad village, Sheshtamad district of Sabzevar county, Razavi Khorasan province. The stockpile of this mine is 1,200,000 tons. High Aluminum oxide, low thermal expansion coefficient and processability are the most important features of the materials of this mine.
Kuh-e Sefid Mine
This mine is located in Kuh-e Sefid village of Bakharz county in Razavi Khorasan province. There are Potassium feldspar with a stockpile of 3,500,000 tons and bentonite with a stockpile of 1,000,000 tons in this mine. Among the special features of Feldspar of Kuh-e Sefid mine, we can mention the good whiteness after firing and total alkalinity of more than 8%. Moreover, water absorption and high strength are features of this mine’s Bentonite.
Jazin Mine
Jazin industrial clay mine is located in Jazin district, Bejestan county, Razavi Khorasan province. The stockpile of this mine is 1,180,000 tons. One of the most important features of Jazin mine’s minerals is the very low thermal expansion coefficient, which is of particular importance for the tile and ceramic industries.
Nakhbar MineNakhbar
Feldspar Kaolin Mine is located in Nakhbar village, Sheshtamad district, Sabzevar county, Razavi Khorasan province. The stockpile of this mine is 2,000,000 tons. One of the most important features of this mine is the high percentage of alkalis and the proper color after firing.
Sarsepidar Mine
Sarsepidar kaolin, feldspar and silica mine was discovered in 1998 by the experienced exploration team of Zarmehr Industrial Mineral Group and in cooperation with the most reputable mining companies in the world such as BHP Australia and Rio Tinto England by using satellite image processing and extensive surveys. This mine, which is considered as one of the largest and richest kaolin mines in the Middle East, is located 200 kilometers southwest of Mashhad and between the counties of Torbat-e Heydarieh and Kashmar. The diversity of kaolin quality in this mine in terms of raw and fired whiteness, aluminum oxide content, strength, mineralogy and thermal expansion coefficient is very unique, and it provides the possibility of using it in many industries such as tiles, sanitary ware, paint and glaze, etc.
Shurab Mine
Shurab bentonite mine is located in South Khorasan province, 75 km away from Ferdows County, and the area is 7 square kilometers, exploration drilling has been done in more than 2000 meters, and the stockpile is estimated at 3 million tons.
The bentonite type of this mine is Sodic, and considering that the color of most bentonites after firing are green or cream, it is unique in terms of having a white color after firing.
In addition to color, high water absorption and firing shrinkage, appropriate swelling index and lack of heavy elements are its other features
Makki Mine
Makki kaolin mine is located 80 km southwest of Torbat-e Heydarieh county and 30 km northeast of Kashmar county. This mine, with features such as high and uniform stockpile, convenient location and road, mineral diversity, extremely high flexural strength and plasticity, and softness of materials and low thermal expansion coefficient has great capabilities in the formulation of all kinds of tiles and ceramics.
